Pallavi enthralls
I usually run away from kuchupudis and bharatnatyams because classical stuff is not my cup of tea. The last marathon I participated was a few months back when Aswani Dutt’s daughter organised a dance for charity. Last evening I attended Pallavi Kumar’s programme and sat through the whole show. The danseuse kept the audience enthralled. There was no exaggeration of emotions or diluting the spiritual content. She offered variety and innovation that adhered strictly to the Kuchupudi idiom. Her performance, organised by Chaitanya Art Theatres was attended by Kala Tapaswi K. Vishwanath and Sadguru Sivananda Murthy. Heard Vishwanath wanted her as the heroine in one of his films.
