Ash’s salaam draws flak

It’s really bad to keep writing and speculating about someone else’s personal life but what can one do if the couple happens to belong to the A list of the Hindi cinema brigade. I am referring to how today’s Eenadu has given a banner headline of Abhishek getting upset over Ash kissing Hrithik in Dhoom II and how it was uncalled for. They made up with an equally apt photograph of the duo looking different ways.

Talking of Ash again, Pandit Birju Maharaj who is 70 years old now made a very unpleasant but a right remark on the leading lady of Umrao Jaan. Talking about his birth place Lucknow, Birju Maharaj responded on the remake. He said though he didn’t see the movie, whatever little he had watched of the promos on TV left him feeling that the girl (Aishwarya Rai) didn’t even know how to salute properly. “Jis ladki ko salaam karte waqt theek se haath nahin uthana ata woh Umrao Jaan kya banegi?”
