A struggling actor was thinking aloud and I felt he was right. We were discussing the launch of Manoj’s film and he said if only I had a good support like Manoj has I would have done some films that would atleast have a standing at the box office. Manoj and Vishnu have everything at their disposal but things are not going right for them. What the actor was trying to put across was that anyone with reasonable looks and some solid financial padding with some selective thinking could do it. Why are the stories that Mohan Babu selects are so outdated? In the case of Suryam, the subject chosen, the hero’s character was not suitable for a debutant. Manoj’s work is natural, electryfying and there is so much energy in him, just watch Donga Dongadi and the film will vouch for the fact. But Manoj hasn’t moved from the place where he began from. It has been a long wait and again why is Mohan Babu picking on out of form directors, why can’t he spend a little more on happening directors, people will definitely come to watch the film?
