Novelty needed

Why is it despite repeated duds at the box-office our filmmakers choose subjects that have been tried and tested? We are not asking for a hit formula, atleast care should be taken that some things don’t get repeated again. When Tagore spoke about janabha lekkalu it was new and we listend in rapt attention, when Rakhee spoke it was like, oh we did hear something like this before. But today when Annavaram reeled out another long piece of dialogue this time to do with statistics of inspectors, sub inspectors, not once but twice it is nothing but plain callousness that creeped into our telugu films.
