Ask Ravi Verma if he is the next artiste after JD to sport a beard. He says no. “JD has a normal beard, I sport a french one.” The actor who made a dashing debut in Vennela reveals an interesting aspect of his life. He always wanted to get into acting but when he passed out as an engineer he tried his luck with marketing and management selling pillows and the first pillow he sold to was to his friend. Ravi says, “I landed up at his door one morning asking him to buy a pillow. Don’t ask me for his reaction. Later a friend showed me this ad and I joined JTM selling cell phones. I asked my manager if I could sell it to actors/celebrities and he encouraged. So I met up with Soundarya, Gunashekar, Arjun with this marketing work.” Well, from selling cells to putting his soul in films, Ravi Verma has come a long way indeed. But as of now Ravi Verma has just oke oka goal…to make his mark in movies.
