Trisha’s take on Sainikudu
Trisha is at the moment in Rajahmundry shooting for Selva’s film Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule. The voice keeps breaking on the phone as the location is farthest from the district but I manage to get some info from her. She is excited about Sainikudu’s release and says that she wouldn’t want to reveal much about it.Â
Nevertheless she says, “It is a very good role and not hero dominated one. I play a movie maniac. It is very interesting believe me.”
So is she content doing the song and dance numbers with top hero’s in the industry. “I beg to differ. In Stalin, the role given to me was just not comic but stellar too. Whatever little I had done, people said it was really interesting and appreciated me. Any girl just not me should grab the role if it is with Chiranjeevi. Working with him is such a learning experience. Moreover it was directed by Murugadoss and it belonged to Chiranjeevi’s home banner.”
She adds, “I don’t believe in doing a film that is completely heroine oriented and shows off my talent and which finally tumbles at the BO. A BO hit is what matters to me and everyone.”
About her schedule in Rajahmundry Trisha says, “I’m very proud of this film and this is completely a performance oriented project. This is a kind of role that every heroine yearns to do it.”
And what is her take on the influx of heroines every other day in Telugu cinema? “Every heroine has her place under the sun. If a role is meant for me it will come to me any time and at any cost. It takes new talent to fall in place and I’m an established actress. At the moment I’m just praying Sainikudu does well.”
