Leader not connected
Expressing anguish at the remarks and insinuation at a leader of a ruling party in todays papers in the Srija case, a member of his family flays “he is in no way connected to it. The public and media should stop speculating on such matter moreso when he has an impeccable image in public.”

A highly placed source on conditions of anonymity reveals that the runaway marriage is no bommala pelli and the puppet show was orchestrated by more than one individual from a political party. The TOI came out with a news today that it was a leader from a certain community who was the brain behind the drama.
While one can’t come out with the truth immediately the sources informs TCP that an actor in the industry is moving towards the Congress and his presence and speech at the birthday celebrations of TSR at Vizag was just a small hint but in reality the family is moving close to establish a personal relationship within the Congress family.
Sources inform that Chiranjeevi was not entirely oblivious about the involvement of the political leader and he might have had his own suspicions. A section of the people who want the actor to launch a party soon say that Chiranjeevi has nothing to lose now as the damage has been done and he should not allow vested interests to cut him down to size. They add that at the moment Chiranjeevi and his brother need to resolve their differences if any because some factors are trying to engineer a split in the family.

It’s late afternoon and two men from Nandyal are waiting at Kalyans’ house for an audience. They’ve come to donate two ambulances to The Common Man Protection Force flagged off by the actor. It’s barely a week since it’s been established and there’s been overwhelming support from people all over Andhra and from his fans worldwide. While sceptics disagree and dub it as filmi stunt, Kalyan calls it ‘hope for an utopian situation.â€
Kalyan talks on what led him into announcing his outfit the CMPF suddenly and dramatically. Dressed in white like an apostle and brandishing a revolver, the actor stepped into the Jubilee Hills Police Station to surrender his weapon with zillion fans and media lapping up the moments last week. He guffaws, “It’s been ten years since I have been wearing such clothes on and off, I love soft linen and it’s just that you‘ve all been seeing me in that now and I wasn’t brandishing it, I was just holding it in a particular way, I can’t aim it at someone right? People’s interpretations are different.â€
He adds, “By surrendering it I wanted to convey to my niece that I intend no harm and next since I was launching CMPF I wanted to show that I’m really committed and not interested in safe guarding my life.†Though the intention is earnest, isn’t the timing wrong? Kalyan quips, “I agree and also disagree with them. I might think on similar lines if I’m in their place. Next, inspite of all the trauma we were going through I went ahead and announced it. Just because of a personal problem, I didn’t want to postpone it. In what way is my family issue connected with this? I can’t help it if people think that way but the fact is that I have done it in utmost sincerity.â€
The actor has always been branded maverick, reclusive and impetuous and he nods in affirmation when you ask him if he is mostly misunderstood. “People have judged me by my one action but that doesn’t bother me. I’m not an attention seeker and also I never get provoked, I only react. A man abused me today and I only gave him a blank stare but I don’t behave like a statue when there’s some injustice happening or someone is in pain.â€
He waxes eloquent on his dream project. “I don’t like the coldness in the atmosphere, people are treated as subjects, as inanimate objects. I remember when I was in the fifth standard, I was cycling my way home at 6.30 in the evening and the police detained me and refused to let me go home till 10.30 just because there wasn’t a light on the cycle. My mother was very worried. They are simple issues but all of them have piled up.â€
The actor makes it clear that he isn’t here to solve anything and he is merely providing a platform for people to come together to address their issues, to establish a connectivity, a network where each one helps someone in distress by speaking out through counsel or otherwise.
He signs off, “We are building relations between strangers and as an actor I’m using this status to usher this element of change in society and even if one sleeps without a hungry stomach I would be gratified. There is no money involved. I’m not forming a parallel government I’m just asking for self sufficient volunteers to do some selfless service in their free time.â€

It was one of those times where you can just stare off into the distance and be content with doing absolutely nothing, because you knew that at that exact moment you were completely happy and everything was perfect. Sharing those fabulous evenings are those twenty five senior citizens who meet at the Vengal Rao park and talk about the little things in life that seem to catch the eye and the troubled times that cross their path and work seriously towards finding a solution.
Their feet have tested the roughest of roads, and their eyes seen the dance of life. They may no longer have the same strength, but their spirit clearly remains high. Aged 60 to 85, the senior citizens have been meeting at this place in the evenings ever since the park was established. And from the past 15 years these people have been joining each other in morning walks at the Raj Bhavan road. Over the years they have formed one congenial family.
Raghunath Rao says there has been a lot of awareness in health of late and it is such a pleasant sight to see everyone taking a brisk walk. Narasimha Rao brings the BP meter, Glucose Meter and adds that they have been conducting regular health camps for the walkathons. All the retired government employees donning white t-shirts and pea caps, walked to promote inter-generational bonding, bridging the gap between the old and the young on Oct 1st to mark International Day of Older Persons.
How many people will remember and go through the trouble to file a written application every year? A diligent elderly man writes seriously on a piece of paper, a letter to the Municipal Corporation complaining about the dumping of garbage on the approach to the park while another laments that the Lok Ayukta has forgotten it’s duty.
Prabhakar, Narsimham, Prasad opine that this is the best park in the vicinity and is very happy with the greenery and maintenance. But what do all of them have in common? Rama Rao Chowdary says we all gossip but the gossip is more spiritual. But the golden rule is that we are open to any discussion but once there is an argument and things heat up we decide to dump the topic there. Ultimately the one and a half hour we spend has to be memorable.
Mohan Rao quips, “My wife calls us Romeos:.Retired Old Men Eating Out. She gets worried if I miss out a single day. We host breakfast, lunches, dinners in turns and one of our companions owns a farm house, so we unwind there too. There is an octogenarian too, Subba Rao is 85 but feels he realizes it only when reminded. He says, “This group gives a prize when you reach 80, wonder who is following me!â€
There is no answer. Topics discussed are vast from movie reviews to stocks, civic condition, politics and yes, a retired officer adds, that the Mumbai crowd over reacted and the traffic jam was uncalled for when Dhoni’s team returned. “I have played cricket at a higher level, I think they should give importance to other sports as well.†Film Producer Doraswamy Raju who made Annamaiyya is one amongst the group. He is at the moment winding up his next project on Vengamamba for TTD Bhakti Channel.
The park has instrumental music and women dominate the walking sessions in the mornings. Newcomer to the group Prabhakar Rao says there is membership of 100rs to join the group. Just step in at 5 at this park and you will not miss seeing this group have a blast!.

The intro song of Ram’s movie wall take place in Vizag in the first week of november. Choreographer Prem Rakshit has composed excellent movements on the lines of Nacho Re in Yamadonga. This shoot is expected to last for a long period in Araku. Devisri had composed foot tapping numbers.
SK ki reply: Why I took out the stinker and also my answer? IÂ realised Jesus warned his followers not to give what is sacred to dogs and not to throw pearls (of wisdom) before swine (the ungodly).

Shobha, take back your words
I was reading Shoba De’s edit in today’s paper couldn’t help but sympathise with her poor understanding of the persons and situations in hyderabad. Thanks Shobha for calling hyderabad the city of epic romances but you better do some spade work before you say something on Chiranjeevi.
He is rich, he is not a feudal lord, he didn’t terrorise his daughter, all he did was to dote on her and give her money and freedom and he is paying for it now. How could you compare some misguided, illiterate elders in some taluka murdering couples to the superstar and say that he’s been behaving worse than them?
Get some brain into your pen and you don’t make an absolute ass of yourself. Forget Chiranjeevi, no father will listen to some crappy romance at the age of 14. What makes you think that he was treating her like some property to be traded? God save her from those scheming jokers but get these things into your head. He was not against that fellas caste or he didn’t mind his daughter going into a middle class family, it’s just that, what’s that guy’s name, his credentials were questionable.
He had a criminal background, official cases against him and many more unofficial (call me and I tell you) complaints and I’m sure you would personally wouldn’t want to bring him in as your son-in-law unless you wanted to reform his habits. And that Pyar ke side effects that guy and the girl will experience soon, and as you said yes, it could be dangerous indeed.
This had happened to many filmi families many a times but nothing of that sort became news because the immature and stupid daughters didn’t choose to humilaite their parents in public and portray them as villains and also finally they didn’t have vested interests doling them out in their runaway marraige. Shobha as a parent I have something to say, take back your words, what you saw and heard on TV is not entirely true.

It’s but natural to step into politics when your career is sliding and for women in particular the next option to stay in limelight is switching onto social service, PETA, politics etc etc. Most of them do have honourable intentions but not all have the strength to stick onto their agendas. Vijayshanti appears like the chaudvin ka chand in her cottons to make a statement but her gutkha chewing habit occupied more space in the papers.
It’s Roja now, who’s made a doubtful entry but has proved everyone wrong. Unlike other actresses who are just here for the glamour quotient, this lady is pulling the right strings at the right places. Some bhavishyatthu this!  Â
