Everything seemed to be going right for Chiranjeevi sometime back. His daughter’s wedding, the Padmabhushan and the launching of his son in films and the Prez visiting the blood bank. Just not andhra, he has scores of fans rooting for him all over the world and he’s always been in news for his notching marks in movies.
Little did he know that one day he would be in news this way, compelled to utter dialogues from his movies that too in full glare of the media but this time straight from his heart. No make up, a fatigued look, a stubble and a helpless expression. He had to choose the same channel that went mercilessly overboard to convey the message to his daughter. What the people saw was not the actor but the father, they felt sorry for him, many cried while the media lapped it up as a serial scoop.
Every actor in the Telugu film industry has a ‘black’ history, just nudge and you’ll find skeletons tumbling down from the cupboards. What had happened to Chiranjeevi is something that almost every family had faced at some point of time in their lives. The other day Kareena was heard saying that the media shouldn’t over react as her affair with Saif won’t affect the nation’s economy.
Don’t know about her or the economy, there is a huge following for the actor because he is considered family to zillions of people. It pains and breaks your heart when an immature child is taken for a ride. When you see, read the girl’s confident statements, it’s like wow she’s turned 18. You don’t get angry, you empathise with her stupidity.
There will be lot of action, overaction, reactions and over reactions on this for some time (this is what others are terming it, right?) but the bottomline is all of this is an outcome of love for the actor. His pain is their pain, his happiness is theirs too. There are comments in this blog about Kalyan overdoing his bit today, but anything you do needs to reach the people and media plays an important role.
We think twice to pull out a dollar from our pockets to help someone, here this man has donated a crore for a cause. The timing is not wrong, he’s been on this work for the past four months. Everyone has their way of doing things, some do it silently some think by inviting the media for coverage, the cause can get better publicity, it all depends on how you perceive things.
TV9 had sometime back showed at length how a boy who fell into a borewell was retrieved albeit in a lifeless form. It was a fantastic effort on their part to highlight the issue the entire day exposing the loopholes in drilling and leaving the pit vacant. The trauma of the mother moved many but I’m sorry to say that this TV9 had shown callousness in projecting and cashing on a sensitive story that would hike their TRPs.
Chiranjeevi had sent the wedding invitation with a mithai dabba to these media people for his daughter’s wedding, veellu emi chesaru? They displayed the shubhalekha of the youngest daughter’s wedding to him through their channel, showed him the rituals and also didn’t forget to get the family’s ‘spandana’ on the issue. If they can show an actress’s leaked clippings of her taking a shower, they can do much more. A merugaina samajam kosam.

Really well said. Who in this present world can donate atleast some money for a good cause. TV9 says they work for good society but actually they earn money showing all the rubbish things in the channels and if we look the channel closely more than a news channel its a channel which shows all the gossips and rumors rounding in India not the actual facts and problems. I feel pity for TV9 to earn money and to increase ratings by saying they work for society.
Pawan has donated 1 crore, if some one comment on him saying he is over reacting or some other , I question those people whether they atleast spend a penny for society. They wont spend a small mount but criticize people who try to do it.
Hats off to Pawan for donating a huge amount and I wish him all the best in this and I pray to god that he should get good support and this force should bring a good change in society.
If any one really want to change society or if you want to do something good to society then no need of donating money but stop criticising people who atleast are trying to do something and if possible bash channels like TV9 who in the name of good society actualy spoiling it. Please think positively and lets work for good.

Having said that neither the timing and style of Pawan Kalyan’s actions today nor the support in the above article for him are objective. If you support his actions today, you are only doing his bidding, not being candid enough.

why are you railing at TV9 ? isnt it the bride and the groom who called them to the spot of the marriage ? isnt it they who got in the car and gave a interview ? Maybe TV9 reran the whole thing numerous times, but in 24*7 news coverage there is only so much fresh content.

Looking at your blog it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out where your sympathies lie, if you want to report all good things done by a hero then change your blog name to something suitable. If you want to be impartial be impartial, dont take this dual approach.
Best example in recent memory being a site which had massive following in the expat community and known for its reviews, till the site went soft towards a hero and screwed up its popularity.
So try not to be that site.
Finally for everyone who is so disgusted by the TV9 news coverage, there is something called a remote, USE IT and/or get your collective butts away from the TV.

Excellent article. I really appreciate your views and the way you have articulated them. Its really unfortunate that Chiranjeevi is made to go through this harassment but it wont be long before Madam Srija realizes her mistake falls at her father’s feet and HATS OFF TO PAWAN KALYAN for coming up with CMPF, he was planning this in Satyagrahi movie but is implementing it now.
