Amma kaavali, buvva kaavali

Nayanatara and SimbhuOne wrong step in your career and your are hunted by the filmi journos — till you create another faux pas, that is. And poor Nayanatara has learnt it the hard way. The Mallu kutty shot into the limelight the moment she was paired opposite Rajnikanth in Chandramukhi.

And the star is still sitting shining brightly in the South Indian film firmament. But, in between, she had a harrowing experience with Simbu, the Tamil star. And the Tamil press, not to forget their Telugu brethren, went to town giving juicy details of how Simbu gave her nightmarish moments during their courting days.

The painful relationship for all practical purposes resembled that of Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai’s. And like the latter, Nayanatara too bailed herself with great difficulty. But the press wouldn’t forget their affair, and continue to remind her of her terrible past even after she has announced that she has nothing to do with Simbu anymore. And, naturally the pretty woman is mighty upset with the press persons, for practicing what she dubs as ‘yellow journalism’.

Hear what she has to say to a journo during the shooting of Billa, her Tamil venture with Ajith. “After my break-up with Simbu, many think it is their privilege to publish baseless reports about me. I don’t think this is right journalism. And I am unable to understand why these press guys keep publishing gossip or news on me with scant regard to my opinion and sentiments…”

We empathise with you Nayan, and know how must be feeling. But, unfortunately, trash sells in the industry and there are guys who love to peddle it with gusto. And you happen to be one of the stars who is hogging the fame today. And if you want fame you have to pay for it! (Guest - Venu)
