Arrogance is my sotthu
Rakhi resurrects NTR. At a time when he was emotionally and financially drained, a story that is very ordinary, very old and which has been plaguing the society has moved NTR into giving one of the best performances in his career. Rakhi is pretty much perfect, in terms of being well-directed, beautifully structured, carefully written, full of wonderful performances, and emotionally moving. It doesn’t pack the wallop of flashier movies that may leave a greater emotional impression upon leaving the theatre, but this one will stay on your mind, and stands up-in fact, it gets better - upon post-viewing scrutiny. NTR thanks his stars, his fans and all the people who have connected with the film.
Dowry deaths, sexual harassment have been an issue long discussed in films but what about the story has appealed to the actor and has contributed to the winning factor? NTR says, “Krishna Vamsi and me were sailing through the same boat. I have had a string of flops right from the year 2003, and this story was like a lavish spread that I lapped it up. I was hungry for success. The director channelised my angst, frustration and desire to bounce back in a neatly structured way in Rakhi. He inspired me to give the best, most of the ideas, most of what has been written has been entirely his work. I couldn’t have asked for more.”
The actor says there hasn’t been a single day when a woman’s suffering has not been published in the newspaper and he waited for this sort of subject where one can just not find a solution, but kill the problem once and for all. The protagonist goes about killing every man who has wronged a woman. NTR adds, “My mother cried after watching the film, and I’m sure many women must have been disturbed by what has been depicted. A man after coming out of the theatre stopped himself from ogling at girls around. This is just an example and Rakhi has done it’s work.”
NTR drew adverse comments for putting on weight but he laughs it off. The young man has shockingly lost many pounds and the new found success reflects on his visage. He has not stopped smiling ever since Rakhi hit the screen. “My weight, my so called relationships have always dragged me into focus but all of this comes with the package of being a public figure.” And finally ask him if his arrogance that people talk about is a defence mechanism, he replies in the affirmative. “I’m not blessed, I’ve worked hard, struggled every moment to reach this position. Arrogance is my sotthu, my property. I use it to shield myself, none can take me for granted. None can take me for a ride, no one has the audacity to ask me about it. If you term ego, self–respect, pride et al as arrogance, then yes it is arrogance and I am arrogant, I’ve no regrets.”

If his name was not NTR and if he is not introduced as so called grandson no one would have seen his face.his so called hits are horrible movies.I just saw his program in tv9 interacting with some ladies about his latest flick rakhi. He just doesn’t have any clarity on what he is speaking. He doesn’t know anything! There is absolutely no connection between any two sentences he spoke.

May be he got a break into movies because of family back ground, but he is a great actor. Just because of family background no body became big stars in Tollywood. They have to prove themselves. The above two comments are very unfair. May be because they just want to comment on him. At the age of 23 he is more mature than many people who write comments on him.
I feel that he is one of the best actors in telugu industry. With age he will definitely improve on many aspects of acting and earn name & fame like Sr.NTR. Offcourse he has to go a long way to compare with Chiru etc. But he is sure to reach the hights of Chiru & Sr.NTR provided he continue to fight and fight with never give up attitude.

why r u promoting such kind of guys(ohh hero). He is just horrible. How can be such a guy with that personality would become hero. I just cant imagine how fat he is. I think its better for him to stop movies and work on his body. How can media blindly promote him. He is ruining the name of the legend NTR..

Ya its very much true that all the above statements made above are 100% correct. But same thing applies to Pawan Kalyan, NBK, Chiru (Brother In-law of Allu Ramalingiah, who took him up giving a movies from his Allu Aravind Banner otherwise he wudn’t have been a Mega Star), Nagarjuna, Venkatesh. Everyone has their own influence. This is very much true.
If no one agrees, the fact can’t be changed….Its always crystal clear and everyone know.
Thanks a lot Cinegoer.

in some of the above comments some of them are commenting about using his family background and came into movies but it is the most stupid thing to say because what about taraka ratna a man from the same family but he has no hits at all if anybody has no talent then he cannot draw the craze among the fans so PLEAZE STOP MAKING THAT STUPID COMMENTS ON HIM
Rahul | Jan 3, 2007 | Reply
I donot know why these people are becoming gobells for Chiru.
If you are pointing at his phsy. Then why were u not commenting on Allu Arjun is he atleast workable as a sidekick of villain.
If Ntr name is favouring this guy and back ground of Ntr.
Then why the same is not happening with Tarakaratna, and why Kalyan ram is not creating ripples at box office even after 2years of entry into industry.
If only the glamour and phsy counts then even chiru is not a hero,
So stop this sort of gobell publicity.
understand the difference between being fan and franatic.
I hope we all are educated.
Moreover it is our mettle in acting , our screen presence, involvement towards our role this is what people will remember forever but not other things.
One must learn to control his tongue he speaks especially who enters db with wrong identity.
Bye

Thanks Rahul wat u said is right,If Jr.ntr is Influenced by his grandfather name them wat happened to TarakRatna and Kalyanram??Why they are not surving??Here only proves it that Talent is important Than influence,It only works for 1-2 movies thats all like KalyanRam.So by this we can tell That JR.NTR is not influenced by his grandfather,He has his own talent and Attractiveness. Its wonder that only for 23 age he achived a lot of fans and money,HATS-OFF TO NTR.

True, Jr.NTR seems emotionally charged in words rather than using his brains. To say “arrogance is my sothu” seems pretty strange from a guy who boasts of being like NTR.
Frankly, I have to agree with others about the family backup. NTR is lucky in the fact that he established himself as the first 3rd generation hero. He was luckier in the fact that he was able to get commercial success first(which really is the only thing that matters), and bank on the NTR mania among NTR fans. Else, as he himself has said, how can someone with no family support rise that high. Even Balayya is not hot property, with no hits for many years now.
Frankly, family camp matters. No hero has lasted a long stretch of flops without being in an influential camp. Tarakram would be gone by now, had it not been for his family backup, that allows him to launch himself in new films even now. This goes for everyone.
In any case, as long as people get good films.

To become a great actor, i think looks seldom matters. Looks matter only when he dons as a lover boy kinda image. For example chiru, rajini, shah rukh became big stars with their average looks. There are lot of handsome people than above mentioned stars but not stars. If you take the history of Hollywood, is Marlon Brando handsome guy thin and well built guy. NTR is a handsome enough to become a star.

I just saw the above persons views my view is Rakhi is a Good film.N.T.R’s action is good,i think krishnaVamsi can plays a very important role in N.T.R’s action in Rakhi.
I want to tell one thing is Good physique & nice hair style can’t did any one as a Hero. For Example we take our indian super star RAJANI KANTH he has’t have a good physique and
hair style why he decame Super star.
So Physique, colour&hair style can takes little
percentage in any hero’s carrier……..
Thank u to CINEGOER…..

Dear Viewers,
Most of you spoke 100% truth. One has to agree that Sr NTR, Chiru, Rajani are the legends of the Industry. When you talk about someone, we should always compare equals. Some of you compared Jr NTR him with the above three. I don’t think he is anywhere near to them. These three guys did a lot of ground work. Please do the right comaprisons.
Myself I can tell you that it is not easy to see Jr NTR on the screen for 2 hours continuously. Any good scenes I watch them on small screen.Whatever you say, it is physique or Action I don’t think he will survive for longer. He is praying for success since long time. I have noticed Cinegoer have given lot of good review on RAKHI…….. I think you better check it out now at the near by theatre to your house. Go and see I can bet the movie wont be a houseful. One has to see the faces of the people who is coming out from RAKHI movie. They are almost dead.
Thanks for giving this opportunity CINIGOER, your the best.
Jai bolo Sr NTR
Best Wishes

I think every one has attitude problem who commenting nandamuri. It become fashion that commenting jr ntr.
evrey one has flops like pawankalyan, ntr, balakrishna, chiranjeevi.
Looks matter,he is not good in rakhi.
But now he has changed looking good.
Surely he will rock with yamadonga.
Rakhi is declared as above avg flick how other films do at the BO.
Even annavaram is also like that.
Best of Luck for jrntr, powerstar and balakrishna

Guyz,
First things first… Jr.NTR is in the film industry only because he is grandson of Sr. NTR and more importantly because his face resembles Sr. NTR. The reason Tarak Ratna and Kalyan ram are not doing good even though they have family background is because they dont resemble Sr. NTR. So stop the crap that he is talented etc.. The people who like him are either caste based or because of nandamuri family supporters.. Balakrishna also the same case. These guys are screwing up Sr. NTR’s image…
Cheers
Diwi
