Seat khaayam, sweet khaayam

We thought only Nannapaneni Rajakumari is a good host, but Roja out did her. Roja might not be a culinary expert whipping up the greatest of ‘chepala pulusu’ but she nearly knows how to score marks through distributing food packets and water sachets at Mahanadu. The people flipped for her and how couldn’t she, Tirupati is her home town and the off screen drama was on the home turf. Last time she went through tough times but don’t underestimate her, the scorpion woman is surely going to get a Rajyasabha seat this time if that is what she is aiming for and if TDP comes to power.

I like the way they wax eloquent on issues like empowerment, exploitation, child labour, etc., just before they announce their retirement from films and make their political ambitions clear. It is obvious that celebs love to cling on to money or power or high society once they move out from the cameras. Some say society, politics some say animals…as if the country is crying for compassion!

But one man begs to differ, he is out of politics and wants to do social service. D. Ramanaidu visted the Prez yesterday and reaffirmed his commitment to the poor sections of the society. He has ‘adopted’ Prakasam village and will be providing monetary help to all the students who are unable to appear for the SSC exams. His friends too have each taken a village for development.
