Simple and low profile get-together

Chandra Siddharth receiving the memento from KRR
Ramanaidu should excuse me for this. Pani kattukuni stage meedhiki yekkinchi mari photo teeyinchamu ee pose lo. Look at the poster behind, looks like this black shirt is his favourite ippatiki enni saarlu vesukunnaro, he wore the same one this evening too. Ramanaidu tells me all his clothes are from Gabbana (Mumbai).

ANR and Ramanaidu both posed with the heroines and the photographers had a nice time clicking away to glory. ANR’s speech was boring, wonder why they trouble him at this age making him wait till 9:30 p.m., he came just because it was his grandson’s moment.

AVS compered the programme and it made us sweat, the actor thinks calling people with wrong names repeatedly sounds humourous. Someone should try addressing him as SVA or VAS and say sorry. The aunties (Kavitha, etc.) looked comfy in the kanjeevarams in the hot evening and the girls played it easy in their chiffons. It was difficult to say who looked pretty Parvati or Sneha.

Sneha’s cute bespectacled sister sat bang opposite and kept teasing her. She stopped Kavitha, almost squatted and adjusted her saree. It was Chandra Siddarth’s evening but Ramanaidu stole the show. The senti director showered lavish praise on Parvati for taking up a role like that in the beginning of her career. Boss, ee rojullo roles gurinchi evaru aalochisthunnaru, what matters is make hay while the sun shines.

Venky looked better and rejuvenated. He is completely into the action film Tulasi. Suresh sounded besotted with Bheja Fry and wondered why we don’t find such script writers. You tell me how to go about it he asked me. That’s not the answer boss, we want good cinema from you.

What bugged us the most was the deafening background music when Sumanth or some other personality came over to take the memento. Adhi antha avasarama? EVV cribbed that he is attending atleast four functions every day but he resolved very soon he is going to stop attending flop movie functions. “Em chestam andi tappatledhu, inka ippatinundi serious ga ‘No’ ani chepestha, janaalni mislead chestunnamu.” Better late than never EVV garu.

  1. Sunitha,

Could you please tell Naidu garu to stop these mindless functions and have the guests to praise him. He used to be real professional commercial hit producer till 1992. After that he is running for fame/eulogies/awards. We want big commercial hits like Premnagar, Devatha, munduadugu, Ramudu-Bheemudu, Brahmaputhrudu, PremaKhidi kind of hits, not awards films in bengali, malayalam or crap pictures like nireekshana. Madhumasam his best picture in recent times, his choice of Chandra siddhartha was good. I dont understand why the hell he chose Muppalaneni Siva for his next picture. I am sure it will be flop. Naidu garu has lot of experience Film budgeting, production and release, running and promotion. If he joins with young creative directors like Krishna Vamsi(is he still young??), Yeleti, Chandra Siddhrtha, Madan, we will get to see meaning ful comemecial viable films from Suresh productions. I hope some body say my frustration to him…………
