Nageshi ki nacchina experiment

Ithanu rendu aakulu ekkuve chadivadu. Nagesh Kukunoor phoren returned ayina TV assalu choodadu. From the last one year and four months he is said to have stopped reading newspapers, magazines just to cut himself off from the outside world. My friend did the same thing but he got his share of gossip from the net, and saved money by not buying newspapers. When asked he said it wasn’t about money, he was plagued with many doubts and was in total confusion….Ye Party ki vote eyyali, ye paper vaartalu correct, ye channel genuine. Ask him how he trusts the websites..the answer is… all the news found on the net is one and the same. There lies some clarity.

Brahmi’s favourite roles

Brahmanandam says he doesn’t like loud dialogues. He prefers something dull, little scary where he folds hands like the one he recently played in Krishna. Talking to TCP the comedian says , “I liked a few episodes like the one in Krishna that goes emaine whistle kavalante konukovocchukadhandi….. I liked the get ups of Sachin Tendulkar and Abdul Kalam Azad too. Ready lo naadi manchi paatra. Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu is one more. Through out the film the tone is comic and in the end it becomes serious. I have been given a Nandi for the role in Anna which is also memorable.”

Charity begins at home

In the heart of hearts every supporter of TDP agrees on this point: That charity begins at home and YSR while taking a slice, distributes the rest to his people. That’s how he has earned loyalty though corruption has reached a new level in his government. Sadly this loyalty and drumming up support for each other is absent in the TDP. CBN has done plenty of things to hyderabad but ippudu spark poyindi. This is my opinion. I feel sorry for my friend who was asked to remove the link of Jayamanade.com from my blog because they felt I am writing in favour of Congress. A simple example of how a friend can’t argue a friend’s point. Keeping aside my personal likes and dislikes…I have one thing to say. Jayammanade anukunte saripodu. Adi prajalu nirnayinchali.

Wanted MLA and MP seats

TANA was originally started with good intention. It was going well till one of our EX.CM who came here for Surgery created a rift between his cast and others.Immediately ATA was born. There is nothing wrong in having two different organizations. In TANA you have voting right if you are a member. In ATA you don’t have that right.Check the E.C members names since it’s inception. Now TANA is being hijacked by certain group of people for their selfish needs. My question is what did they do to the TELUGU people in America. They spend $1.5 million every two years. Why do we have to organize events in CUDAPA, Vijayawada,Hyderabad etc.? The answer is obvious. One person in E.C hails from CUDDAPA,the executive vice president(Next President) hails from small village near Vijayawada. They want MLA tickets for them or their brothers. It is a known fact that the future president wants MP ticket. There is another guy who was EX.President for the last ten years. He wants MLA or MP ticket from Tenali or Repalle.None of these people take a penny out of their pocket. They spend TANA money liberally for their personal needs. This is the reason why efforts are being made to pull TANA from the hands of these people and cleanse it. ..by Raja

Paisa phek tamasha dekh

Eppudu ledhu, cricket ki intha coverage. Newspapers are devoting more than three or four pages making us wonder if it is domestic cricket or world cup. TV channels lo kooda piccha hype isthunnaru infact pushing us into getting addicted. One day my friend calls to tell me that Shahrukh Khan is crying on the television because only two hundered tickets have been sold, obviously he cannot afford that kind of a loss. Weddings lo, private parties lo and advts lo dance chesi he had accumulated that kind of wealth. He is no Ambani.

Kaani Ajay and Kajal won’t approve of his pan indian appeal and his dancing at private parties. Heard the couple’s daughter Nysa remarked after seeing Sachin tendulkar on a hoarding “Paapa look that is Sachin Tendulkar”. How do you know ani adigithe the girl replied “I have seen him selling biscuits on TV.”

The beginning of the season could have a slam bang approach but there are sure to be differences and war between players, unity will be at stake. Harbajan ee roju kottadu, tomorrow someone else will repeat it. Australians will have a last laugh if Harbajan is not strictly punished! After a matches ee IPL ki craze sustain avaddhani na feeling.

I hate asking money for bangles: Shakera

This week I covered Borabanda slum. I met a few students whose lives changed after joining the school started by the NGOs. They don’t charge a penny. Shakera is one such girl who has finished tenth and is waiting for her results.

Shakera Jahan comes from a huge family. Her sister is studying in a nursing college and the family savings are enough to fund her studies. But when Shakera and her younger sisters wanted to study her parents said a firm No. Father has no job and the two brothers are painters. Shakera narrates how she convinced her parents that she would do well in her studies and begged them to send her to school.

She speaks fluent english, no more shy and is computer savvy. Says she, “Earlier my parents wanted me to join the stitching centre and they would pay only 20 rs per day. My family lives on loans. I want to get a job and take care of my parents. I hate asking them money even for bangles or a new pair of clothes. I feel guilty. In our family girls get married fast, but somehow I begged my parents to postpone my wedding. I want to be an independent person, that’s my aim in life. I wish I get good marks in tenth so that I can convince my parents about my further studies.”

Javed has no complaints

Javed is 20 year old plumber living in Allapur in Borabanda, earns 130 Rs on a day when he gets a contract in an apartment. The rest of the days when he has no work he runs a shared auto. A passenger pays Rs 4 within limits and by the end of the day he gets 500 rs out of which 150 rs goes for the diesel. Javed has never seen a film so far, has very few friends. He gives the day’s earnings to his mother. He says, “I hate studies, I’m happy working two shifts a day. I go out only during Id to Golconda or some outing with the family. Otherwise it’s mechanical for us..I’m really happy, and I don’t want to ask Allah for more.”

It doesn’t matter

Atleast Mahesh is being honest enough to admit that he doesn’t know the difference between MLA and MP. It also won’t matter if he had failed in Inter three times. The heavens are not going to come crashing down for that, he must be aware that most kids, teenagers and adults are just happy seeing him on screen. But I’m sure he wouldn’t want his son to be ignorant unless it’s acting for him as a career. So let’s leave all the film stars at that because they are content with their first schedules, second schedules, dubbing/release dates.
