Two birds with one stone

An industry source says that Aravind who sells of his movies (Andarivadu, Johnny, Daddy, Happy) to distributors and doesn’t return a single penny to them even if the movies are a flop (actually there is no rule that he should return) has this time distributed Nizam, East and West. He did it this time in these three areas because if the movie doesn’t do well, distributors will make noise, to avoid that he distributed on his own, took advance from theatres and released in maximum theatres and got back the same amount which he could have got by giving it to a distributor, in this way he’s got both…he can avoid their wrath by saying that he too lost.

Well, out of curiosity may I know who are those so-called Industry sources who feed such data? Since you call this as a blog, then why don’t you spill the beans? I can see clearly that you are targeting a particular family and their films! Is there any hidden motive behind this?

BTW, since when this returning money to Distributors is happening? I can recollect only Rajani did that for his 2002 flopped movie Baba! Maybe some Telugu guys got inspired by Rajani’s act? But are there any stipulated guidelines exists within AP Film Producers and Distributors association or chambers? I really doubt this!

Then why are you targeting only his movies? As you know there are at least 60% movies who are brining heavy losses to the industry. Do you agree? So did you imply that all those 60% movies are made only by his production house? Am not sympathetic to anyone and I don’t play hide and seek with a “Caste Card”. I don’t really care for anyone. But there should be a fair case but in this one it seems you are purely one-sided. I don’t think you can deny this fact, isn’t it?

Doctor garu,It seems that you forgot this is a blog. The question is did that family do those things or not? If you are caught speeding, the question the Honble.Judge asks is “Did you go above speed limits” Yes or No? If yes, then pay the fine and go home.Yes, there are thousand other people speeding but were not caught. So”DORIKITHEYNE DONGALU”
Sunitha wrote that there is no rule to return money. But you still bring that again stating “Any stipulated guidelines etc…”
Why on the earth anyone reveal their sources?
On Sunitha’s behalf I am telling you that you are not entitled to know her sources.!

Its a very clever strategy by this blogger in targeting Chiranjeevi and her family. This is case of “niche marketing”. Most sites align with Chiranjeevi, mostly writing in his favour – as he’s the the most loved man in the state and the public only want to hear nice things about. Then, there are a whole lot of other people, about 15-20% who despise him – because of various factors like caste, jealousy, simply thinks he’s over-rated and fear his political entry.

So, by making a blog targetting him – the author has an assured audience and becomes the mouthpiece for all his detractors. But, the like the Pheonix which rose the fire, Chiranjeevi will only rise further – well above the reach of the petty comments by these wanna-be famous bloggers. Well, thats Chiranjeevi. If you think you’re a great journalist, approve this comment in the right spirit.

    Bhavani:

There is an old saying tossed up by Mahatma Gandhi (if you like his views!):

“Before pointing a finger at others, do remember that three fingers are pointing towards you!”

I hope you got the essence out of that saying!

    HydMegafan:

Such things are not new to AP! I started watching many Telugu families during my schooling days at HPS in late 1980′s (9th and 10th I was more mature to grasp). Now, caste based groups / syndicates have grown up into full blown monsters which are threatening the AP’s future itself! Such practices should not be taken lightly and must be eradicated from the root levels!
