A hurt & humiliated awardee writes….

what happened yesterday was the biggest insult to the film industry.

it was not a function organised to give away Nandi awards to the artists and technicians. it was a function where the chief minister wanted to give away the awards to nag and mahesh and pose for a photograph. that’s all nothing more nothing less.
nagarjuna in his speech said “i have taken three or four awards, but never seen such a big gathering. it is great.”
well nag you took the award and went away. you dint even have the decency to stay and watch your friends and colleagues taking the awards. Mr. Raghavendra rao, whom you were praising so much saying he is responsible for your annamayya and Ramadasu. was sitting there with a shock and disbelief, at what was happening on the stage. you left as soon as you took your award ..what happened to your respect.. Mr.Nag, maatalu kaadu chethalu important.

a couple of months back i saw the National awards function. the president gave away 135 awards in a two and half hour function. how many people were there on the stage apart from the dignitaries on the stage. two.. only two.how many speeches and what did they speak.
the president, the information minister, two jury chairmen, spoke to the point and about the films and awards. now that is called a award ceremony. giving the winners the highest honor. honor of taking the award from the president.
yesterday there were more organisers on the stage than the award winners. there were so many jokers standing around the anchor discussing.

the program started at 5.30 and ended at9.30. four hours.how many awards were there to give, say 200 may be…
and still the chief minister gave only 5 nandi awards.that is it.what about the rest of the award winners.. are they untouchables.. don’t they deserve to take it from your hands.you wanted to take a picture with mahesh and nag, you did that and went off.. that is what is called hypocrisy..

is there a single soul from the industry, who can condemn this. i think the organizers owe a public apology.
if this is the way the awards are given, then please don’t. do a simple thing send them home to the winners.

    Hi

Sure can empathise with your feelings ..

However, YSR had an eye surgery on the same day.
Doctors advised rest for the next 2 days.
So he had to rush thru the ceremony.

He cannot be blamed for the chaos.ARNR has to take the blame.

I trust , next one which is soon in the offing, will be better.

he is supposed to be a public servant, he knew the awards function was on that day. he should have planned his surgery.
your excuse sounds like a third class student saying, teacher..teacher i dint do my home work because i had a stomach pain..
grow up sir , it is a public function, he had a responsibility. you cant insult artists and technicians like that…

Gr8. So YSR had an eye surgery, he left. Thats convincing.

But in the first place, why was the Nandi Awards function turned into a Congress meeting ?

The Govt. had all the time to heavily publicize the awards function, gather fans from across the state, rope-in Mahesh & Nag for the photo session, and funniest part Mohan babu and Krishna saying that YSR is the Best CM A.P could ever get and the state public should re-elect him and turn into “Bali ka Bakra” { Scape goats ;) }.

Film functions Hitex lo pettukovachu kadha, LB Stadium avasarama ? When Vajrotsavam was succesfully conducted in Hitex, Can’t the government do an Awards function at the sports Venue ?

Asalu ee YSR Government Sports kosam emanna chesindha ippatidaka ? Last time, Gachibowli stadium was turned into Sonia’s meeting place. Ippudemo LB Stadium has become Awards function venue.

    What next ?

I read news that Srihari’s property is worth 1000 Cr, Srikanth 500 Cr, Nagarjuna several thousand Crs. This entire industry is full of filthy rich people, who make hell lot of money. They again hike the Ticket price too. And on top of it, they need Awards, money/shields showered on them. YSR/CBN whoever have to give speeches, adore them etc.
Horrible!!! Don’t you all see how rotten our life become!

All the movie industry plays with weaknesses of common man and become rich. All public Servants(CM etc) spend valuable public funded time on these stupid events.

All of us make them rich again!!!

Ban all these Awards, waste of money and valuable time of common man.
Entire AP is immersed in Movie based TV programs, Movies, TV Serials etc.

That Nandi awards function was a big joke and indeed was distasteful to watch(i just watched some snippets in youtube). It was just like the so called Audio release function , 100 days function they do for Hero worship. Did anyone see the way the anchor was shouting at the top of her voice to announce Mahesh and Nagarjuna’s names? I had to close my eyes and ears in awe! What the heck was going on? And dont even talk about MohanBabu’s and Ambarish’s speech. Absolute rubbish! I hope things change and tech people in the industry get equal respect if not the craze as our hyper-hyped heroes. Why were the people who won the awards sitting on the stage? Never heard of that thing in even Oscars! What a function!! LOL !!

I guess in this whole Nandi fiasco the guy who loses the most is Nag. I thought he being educated and presumed “intellectual person” would be more dignified. But his rather overboard praise of YSR or about the crowds at the function and mostly not bothering to wait for KRR his director, which is a basic courtesy followed everywhere.

Mohanbabu, well doesn’t he have any moral fiber ? does he stand for anything ? but I guess this type of behavior is expected of him.

But the guy who lost a lot of respect is Nag. I guess everyone in the industry is like this ?, sad but I guess they are ordinary or below ordinary people who just portray extraordinary on the screen. Somehow what he did sounds very pathetic to me and no more Nag movies for me.
