Dont you think India is too naive, innocent and at times stupid enough to understand the motives behind this bloodshed OR surprisingly played a passive role in this whole episode.

I am saying this because , India lacked intelligence , India responded to this massacre in a very leisure manner, and finally India is blaming our neighbour with out any concrete proof. NO, I am not supporting Pakistan or Muslims here.

The whole saga is unfortunate but we should try to understand , who is going to benifit more from this incident ? before trying to analyse who has done this to our country.

The whole mainstream media is abuzz pointing fingers to Pakistan and Islamic organisations leaving no time for comman man to understand what happened ? why it happened? Who did it ? .They have drawn conclusions, so that our lazy souls can watch and discuss about our neighbours and hated community in our coutry for whole next week.

No I am not secular and not trying to be one.

Don’t we remember what happened after 9/11 , I think this time its going to be Pakistan who is going to get the stick and outarageous India is raring to go on War with Pakistan and ofcourse American blessings are always with us with their millatary and state of the art ammunation to finally take control of the region.

If India sustains this temptation , watch out for few more attacks like this until it gets to a point where it leaves no other option for India except taking path to war to fulfill the western intrests.

    YES

” India will become SUPER POWER controlled by WEST”.

    Is AP a soft state?

Hyderabad: Responding to a query from this correspondent — right after the Delhi terror attack, a few weeks ago — about the threat of terrorism in the state, chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said: “We have driven away the Naxalites from the state.” That in a way succinctly describes the perception and mindset of the powersthat-be about the possibility of terrorist strikes in Andhra Pradesh. It also indicates the low priority given by the state government to combating terrorism of the kind that hit Mumbai last week.
This is surprising because Hyderabad has been a victim of terrorism — not once but twice last year. On May 18, last year, devotees were victims of a bomb attack when they came out after reading their Friday namaz. Later on August 25, innocents lost their lives in two near simultaneous bomb blasts on a Saturday evening that targeted Lumbini Park where a laser show was on and Gokul Chat Bhandar where holidaymakers had gathered to eat their favourite snacks.
In a belated move on Friday evening, director general of police S S P Yadav transferred the unsolved Lumbini Park and Mecca Masjid case to the Octopus. But it is a case of too little, too late. The Octopus was established in the wake of the terrorist attacks to provide intelligence and investigate such cases. But the supposed to be specialised agency has remained largely non-functional. For starters, little help came to Octopus in terms of personnel and office establishment — because the then chief of Octopus, a director general level officer A K Mohanty shared cold vibes with many of his other colleagues who were more interested in showing him in bad light.
After Mohanty was shunted out, the post was downgraded and Octopus came under an inspector general of police. But staffing still remains a problem. There are now 200 personnel in Octopus, but it is yet to be a cutting edge agency. “Even though staffers get 50 per cent additional salary in Octopus, nobody wants to join. Thanks to extensive corruption in force, many think that it is better to stay outside in field postings where much more money can be made,” confided a senior cop. He added: “If nobody wants to join an anti-terrorist outfit, how well we can fight terrorism ?”
A major bane in Andhra Pradesh police is intra-departmental politics. It is an open secret in the state police that the department’s two top officials — director general of police S S P Yadav and additional director general of intelligence Aravinda Rao do not see eye to eye and often act in contra directions. “This has led to lot of
wranglings and demoralisation down the line,” a senior police officer pointed out.
Additionally, it is believed that a large part of the focus of the Andhra Pradesh intelligence department (like in other states) is on political intelligence. “A significant part of effort is on analysing the prospects of various political parties. Other than this the focus is on naxalism. But very little of it is on gathering intelligence on terrorism of the kind seen today,” police insiders aver.
In a scenario of this kind, the police would act indiscriminately when terror strikes. This is what happened in the aftermath of the Mecca Masjid blast. With no intelligence whatsoever, the police under pressure to crack the case started picking up ‘suspects’ randomly and subjected them to torture. Most of them were not chargesheeted because there was no concrete evidence and others were let off by courts of law. All this resulted in growing anger among the youth and their social circles for targeting them without reason. Charges of the police being anti-minority also came to fore because all those picked up were Muslims. “The end result was that we ended up in negative territory. We faced flak from all quarters and this is going to act as a dampener in our future efforts,” a senior police officer lamented.

    Adusumilli,

Who do you think should be the home minister? You, or NBK, or Tarakratna?

When you make huge statements like “this congress is BS”, then make your receommendation as well regarding who and why should be at the helm.

    @Luca,
Its a disgrace that ppl like you take these things in such a light manner.
“Who do you think should be the home minister? You, or NBK, or Tarakratna?”

That statement makes you look like a piece of crap.

What more can I say about the congress party , which takes national security in such a casual manner.

Maharastra CM/DCM says such small things happen and we are able to minimize the damage from expected 5000 casualties to 200…… . The ex HM says terrorists left before he came ……. . I can says confidently this party is even worse than BS.

Chidambaram who might be a renowed economist , he has worked as commerce minister, finance minister in the past 18 years, He was the minister for internal security from 86-89 which was like decades back . He is not part of any teams related to national security in the past 19 years. So this means , there is no ground work done on who should be given this important position, after this useless Shiraj Patel..
Its just passed on to Chidambaram , just without any thought.
This is what happens when decisions are made by BS pppl.

I would like someone who is a
    1) Who has experience with issues related to national security.
    2) Who has the guts to take solid decisions not worrying about his political future.

These are my recommendations, if any one can discuss the pros and cons and iron out the statergy.

    a) Setting up a elite force under the direct command of the 3 armed forces chiefs.
    b) This force should have an intelligence wing and a operational force .
    c) The intelligence wing should have direct access to resources and information from the existing intelligence departments.
    d) This force should have powers above the local police and their direct commands need to be followed by the local police.
    e) No political leader should have a say in the transfers or operations of this force.
    f) Strong Anti Terrorist laws even stronger than POTA should be immediately drafted.
    g) This force should have access to all communication networks in the country.
    h) Special Anti Terrorist courts should be setup to speed up the trial process.
    g) Special detension centers exclusively for these terrorists should be setup. They should not be mixed with local criminals.
    h) A crisis management team which has a solid chain of command.
These are just few thoughts I got by just spending 5 mins on this topic .
