A movie hall for heritage buffs

While multiplexes in the city charge 10 times more, Elgin talkies in Bangalore which is a 110 year old movie hall charges only Rs 20 a ticket. The 300 seat hall has been running without a pause and the projector - an america made Cinerama is working without major glitches. The owner Krishnamurty screens mostly classic films and the first indian feature film Alam Ara was screened here.
