At 16, Geeta is the head of the house
B Geeta from Moosapet is 16 years old. Her father Devadas died of heart attcak in 2004. Geeta has to support two brothers and two sisters. Her mother works as a domestic maid and draws 500 rs from one home and 400 from the other as remuneration. She has forced Geeta to give up studies two years back and become a house maid. A stubborn Geeta has not given up. She works in two houses draws 800Rs on the whole and even studies after doing household chores. She not only got good marks in the tenth, she is now pursuing computer science in the intermediate. At an age when she is supposed to play with her peer group and have a belly fully of dreams, Geeta has become a breadwinner of the family. Ask her how she manages all of this, she laughs, “alavatu ayipoyindi madam!”
but ut no this man took his own sweet time to take the site seeing trip with RGV. i dont believe RGV has come...

hi sunithakka,
this is pandu again. shall it be possible to convince Geetha to stay at home and study. We will bear the cost she is earning by working as a maid. She might use that extra time to concentrate on some competititive exams in inter. We will also pay up for her fees and exam fees.
Let me know your opinion and decision.

I spoke to another girl who is doing intermediate and working as a maid in ameerpet. She draws 500 per month. But since she is studying in a government college the fee is far lesser. no hurry, im just filtering the bright and needy students for the next academic year an dthe second year intermediate. But as i said if u have paid earlier will not take from u.

pandu: the idea is to help people discover the feeling when one helps a person complete education. each one sponsor one. and also to sensitise the society on issues like this, that we have a duty to our fellow beings who live in far more pathetic conditions.
