Censor Board ni kummuthunna Kuchipudi lovers
From now onwards filmmakers need to incorporate some controversial dialogues in their films to get additional mileage. Don’t know if it worked for Gorintaku but jeevita claims it’s a big hit, collections full ga vasthunnayai. Today it’s turn of kuchipudi lovers to target censor board, they are livid as to how the board can allow such a dialogue. Sunil does a jig something that looks classical in Ready and there is a dialogue that chandramohan says to his son , “classical dance nerchukuni class ga avutavu anukunnanu kaani itla …avuthavu ani anukoledhu.” and also they had an objection that sunil who was portrayed as a transvestite was showing as talking about kuchipudi in glowing terms. The censor member was trying to explain that an art is not confined to one section and that kamal hassan too popularised it but the dance lover was in no mood to listen….he is stressing that he did not like sunil being shown as being feminine. When an issue is politicised, the scenes are immediately removed and they tender an apology but now why is the board member taking this lightly and saying , “cinemani cinemala choodandi..”

Iam a typical cinegoer. am a techie but i too felt that sunil’s character overdoes many scenes. I felt bad. When telugu films show our own cultural beauty, kuchipudi like this what can we expect from other states and country ppl. First the censor board members should be ousted for this continous lapses.

are the public really getting fincky abt these things? chintamani & subbi setti are still popular around here… seema sashtri & iron leg series are super hits on screen.
is it to do with only certain sections of the society? Are the so called upper class’s skins getting thicker?
