Konni TANA facts
http://www.tana.org/webfiles/docs/Facts_To_TANA_Members.pdf
I managed to get this letter for my blog. Jayram had written this to Prabhakar Chowdary to resolve the issue soon but there was no response from the latter. Facts here to clear some misconceptions.
Prabhakar garu,
I’m wondering what is going on with (y)our TANA leadership?
Why are you taking your own sweet time to let our members know the facts, resolutions, decisions through our own media like TANA Patrika and Website?
Why aren’t you condemning the press releases given by a person falsely representing himself as TANA coordinator?
Why aren’t you clarifying our members when some people are giving press releases stating that North America Telugu Conference would be in Florida during July 4th weekend in 2009?
Why aren’t you respecting and announcing in a timely manner of the GB’s decision in shifting the conference venue from Florida to Chicago? (This decision was taken 60 days ago, is it enough time?)
You visited Chicago and announced Chicago as the hosting city for our TANA 2009 convention in their Telugu Association’s Ugadi program. This happened almost 30 days ago. Surprisingly, there is no mention about it on our own website and no press release!
Why are you hesitant to respect the EC’s decision and announce Mr. Yugandhar Yadlapati as the coordinator of TANA 2009 convention through TANA Patrika, Website and press releases?
Why didn’t you inform the Florida/Southeast region TANA members about the change of the venue and reasons for change?
Why aren’t you openly discussing and answering Mr. Venkat Ramana Yarlagadda, RVP’s emails concerning TANA 2009-Chicago convention?
Why aren’t you responding to letters written by some disgruntled people bashing TANA EC, GB and spreading the wrong information among our members through emails?
Moreover, when I asked you to announce the TANA 2009
convention changes through May issue of TANA Patrika you told me that it was not the right time to announce and at the same time you said it is okay for me to communicate members personally if I wanted to.
I have no intention to show disrespect to TANA leadership, follow the protocol and at the same time I can’t sit idle when TANA’s image is at stake. Your silence is not the solution and is becoming a source of confusion. I have waited patiently for long enough, there was no choice left for me except an open communication.
Thanks,
Jayaram Komati

Come on Sunita, what is your interest in the whole thing, these guys haven’t done anything except a few camps. I have friends in around 20 cities here, all telugu, and none of them have even received any help from students asking local chapters to help them in accommodation in the initial days.
Only one or two guys have received help during medical disasters and an uneventful death, TANA and ATA just set up a website where all Indians donated irrespective of state or region. My north indian friends donated over $1000 from just my city.
They are fighting caste wars and wars over egos. Either parties will go to prison (most probably) for the humongous crimes they have committed, or at least this will drag in courts for a long time to come, unless they agree to eat all the money together and come to an agreement which I do not think is gonna happen (I mean the agreement).
Bekaar, bewarse, baladoor, badmaash, badkow gallu kalisthe ilane untaadhi. So why are you covering this instead of film and state news. Please ignore the idiots on both the sides.

Hi Sunita garu, A lot of things happened during and before. First of all the GB has no right to remove an elected president. The EC never responded whaen asked for the accounts! No one in EC or GB talks about the accounts.Instead some people are going around and trying to influence the members. When they got their earful they ran away and went back to media spreading rumors. There is lot more at stake for the EC and GB.The stakes are much higher for two people. Most members know who they are and there is no reason to repeat. Most people know that the wallets of these two are coated with dust. The youngsters who are being misled by these two should watch out. The moment you stop spending money for these people they will turn against you.You are not the first group of people for them and you will not be the last one.Don’t cry foul later.

Hmm TANA is not the local chapters, and the purpose of these is not to run a hotel business etc. The purpose of these organizations is to perpetuate the culture of the families living in the US, not a student aid organization. If that’s what you’re expecting, open your eyes to reality.
Jalsa:
what the heck are you smoking? Your post sounds like the rantings of a paranoid shizophrenic. This is about one guy who’s probably going to be prosecuted soon for breaking federal laws and bringing idiotic lawsuits, and further fracturing the name of organization that has been supported by telugus for the past 30 something years. You are ranting and raving and sounding like a complete maniac. If you have charges, make them through appropriate channels and do so with language that might suggest that you have graduated grammar school, or please, just wipe the foam from your mouth and go about your daily business.

@ Annoyed: Holy crap. I smelled it in the beginning. Anyways, Posh english matladutu posh ga nee TANA group ni cover chesukovadaaniki SunitaBlogs ee dorikinda? Why dont u come up with your identity and speak up if you belong to TANA or a person related to TANA? You come to a freelance blogging site where ranting/commenting on caste creed or sex or what not are just part of the post in every other posting and you expect decency? And you try to define what TANA supposed to do? If you have any vested interests and you want convey something, use the so called approriate channels and be a saint.
Malli naa post lo english grammer, naa post lo correctness and thokka tolu expect cheyyaku. ee comment range inthe. idi ide vidham ga vuntundi.

Hello Jalsa, I saw this post of yours in several TANA related threads. Here is one from them. See my comments below each paragraph.
Any way there are strong rumors that TANA money was stolen and misused. I won’t be surprised if it is true given the names of the people involved.
:– What are the names and who are involved ?
It was known fact that Jayaram sought Congress ticket in the last election and when he did not get(Thanks to Sonia)switched to TDP.
:– Did he get the ticket in the last elections after switching to TDP?
There was no internal audit for TANA accounts and as such millions of $$ are being stolen.
:– Millions of $$ !!! :- What is TANA’s annual budget and it’s annual revenues ?
If TANA doesn’t respond for the request of accounts there is no other choice but to go to court to get them. As per IRS rules on non profit organization they must give the accounts within specified time. Stone walling doesn’t work here. It may even become criminal case.
:– Seems you are a new member of TANA. Believe me, you have to spend lot of money to go through court and get the documents. Then, to identify discrepancies, you have to either hire CPAs or spend lot of hours. Then to bring charges against TANA based on these charges and bring some closure to the case, you have to spend lot more money than what you have spent earlier. You know who the true looser is at the end of the day. If you want to know, talk to the Attorney who you are planning on hiring and seek his advise, he will tell you.
If you need practical proof, contact the people who filed lawsuit against TANA in February, 2008. They will tell you how much they have spent and how much more they are expected to spend and what is that they are planning on getting out of it.

If you are annoyed it is too bad! Mr or Mrs Jalsa1, why dont you ask your boss why he switched the to TDP. If you guys don’t know TANA budget then you are either in dark or kept your heads in sand. Truth and justice always comes out slow but forceful. The Quami Kilpatrics of TANA will get their share. People who go to court will usually are ready for the expenses and they are willing to stand for principles. You don’t need CPA to identify abuses. Do you need a CPA to tell you what are the costs of itemised expenses? The more you dig the more dirt comes out. Of the two more important people one is smart his name may not show on paper but he is behind every move made by his cronies. Finally the cronies are the ones who will be in trouble!!

dude you’re a freak, clearly you’ve been burned by TANA or whatever. Get some psych meds, you’re clearly delusional. It’s a freelance blog, and anyone can post. I’m not a TANA member nor am I related to a TANA official. Get a grip, your English sucks, your grammar is atrocious, and your logic and ability to string together coherent thought is laughable at best.
By your own standards you’re some casteist ATA supporter, one of those silly people ranting and raving in Atlanta with your deposed leader, or the supposed “leader” himself. Make a coherent point, or just find something else do with your google time. I’d suggest some remedial language lessons, since they clearly didn’t take the first time. Welcome to freelance blogging, where people can express their sentiments and call out idiots to clearly state their positions. You still haven’t. Guess that shows how much of a point you actually have.
That crap you’re smelling? Take a good look in the mirror buddy, ’cause its a bit closer than you think it is. Kindly wash yourself and stop spewing it about will you? IF you have any legitimate, non feces based points, make them without all the rabid foaming at the mouth and then perhaps you might be taken seriously, even with the poor writing skills.

Thank you Dear Annoyed. This is the best frustrating and defending comment I ever seen in this blog. Chill out and suck it up your frustration to yourself dont show it up in this form on others.

@annoyed: Before you criticize others look at your ass.Check your grammer and spellings. In case of doubt ask the Berkely graduate.Eh..

Hello Jalsa, I don’t want to go into the details of your response. But it only shows your frustration and anger against few TANA individuals. However, the emotions in the message show that you are fighting for some principles. If you are fighting for some principles, first thing is don’t assume that every one knows and readily understands your principles. You need to let others know the facts the way you know them and make them work along with you. Otherwise, It will just be a conversation with yourself.

Hey Jalsa 1,
Did you hear the latest news from Texas? What did the Judge say? “You have no right or business to remove the president!” How come your boss did not show up for the so called meeting in Marriott Hotel in the first place? It seems you are trying to ignore the facts.
The cost of publishing the savoneir in 2005 is $27,000.
How much did it cost for the same in washington in 2007? $70,000. Why? If I ask a question does it mean that I am frustrated? Look at recent TANA patrika about the expense report. Now if you still want to support and beleive your GURUS it is your choice.
