Loyalty ki rewards
The role of the state in harnessing the police machinery for the safety and security of common citizens and 2 protect their most fundamental rights – right 2 life, liberty and freedom – has been buried by the ysr govt. The police and some of its most corrupt officials have been chosen 2 work for the personal whims of congress leaders and ysr.
YSR has converted the police force into a brutal oppressor reminiscent of the rule of the rajakars prior 2 the freedom. Today senior police officials interfere with the political conduct of the state, make political statements, and work at the behest of the vested interests of the ruling bosses and their feudal families. The important law enforcing agency has been converted into an instrument of torture and murder to subserve their political interest.
It is an established fact that ysr rose 2 heights financially and politically with a known factionist and criminal activities both self acquired and inherited. In the process, he developed contacts with like minded persons all through the state, who were nurtured as loyalists to him in politics. Once he assumed the highest office of the state, he richly rewarded his loyalists with questionable integrity to hold the highest positions in the cabinet and the govt. Show one minister who is not involved in a scandal such as land grabbing, pvt settlement, unauthorized plying of buses etc…Chairpersons of the corporations and urban development authorities are also known for rape and other nefarious activities. If u recollect even b4 the formation of his cabinet he granted parole to a life convict from Kurnool.
Flashback: In pulivendula constituency, the ysr family did not allow free campaign polling and also in the villages. During one of the elections, at vempally village, ysr’s brother Vivekananda reddy dragged the tdp agents from the polling booths. People revolted against the high handedness of Vivekananda reddy. He asked his bodyguard to open fire in which one 52 year old neelam subbanna died. Inspite of this incident, ysr went into the polling booth forcefully. A local police inspector tried 2 prevent saying that it was against the rules but ysr pushed him aside and entered the polling booth and rigged the booth. 95 u/s 45/384 IPC 506 at vempally PS on 3.5.1995. This is a common phenomenon adopted by their family in every poll.

our state always played a decisive role in the national politics. If Telugu Desam was responsible for the NDA Government, AP Congress is responsible for today’s central government. Thus none of the political masters underestimate the political power of Andhra Pradesh.
YSR came to power by two reasons. One, the AP people were bored with the Chandrababu Naidu’s iron will rule. Secondly, Congress itself having not in the power for more than a decade, synergies have been established with in the AP Congress -”if not now - never”. So Congress went with cheap promises and poor alliances. All in all both the anti-incumbency along with the rejuvenated Congress brought the Congress to the power.
From the day one, Administration is the biggest hole in the YSR Government. The Congress party is an alliance of opportunistic people under Madam’s umbrella.
The state which was largely(atleast it looked) peaceful in TDP rule, became vulnerable. The Rayalaseema/ananthapur areas by far witnessed the most political murders (some were not even noticed by media). For short-term political gains, Congress formed alliance with TRS. This not only given life to the party that should have had a natural death - Later, at a time when Telengana sentiment was waning, Congress power centres, gave much needed oxygen. Then, the division on the religious basis is apparent.
The raise of the Christian activities, the reservations for Muslims and BC’s added further vulnerability.
Power is the most challenging issue by far for the government. Again for the short-term gains, YSR committed free power and now state is wriggling with power crisis.HYD is seeing power cuts when there are rain. CBN atleast maintained the power stiation bit better in the cities (not denying he hasnt cared for the villages to give power), but now its the same everywhere. Free power annaru, asalu mundu power unte kada ivataniki free ga.
The Outer Ring Road and the land allocations to the national/multinational(!!?!!) made the common man life so miserable and it is now almost impossible to climb the property ladder.
Lesser said about nepotism is better. It is not just YSR, I think in the State it is an accepted form of corruption. The latest scams rocking the Government departments added much more fuel to the falling reputation of the YSR. Most o the cong leaders detest/fear this guy but only reason they keep silent is that YSR having MADAM’s belssing.
