http://www.hindu.com/mp/2008/07/28/stories/2008072850830100.htm

Parimal is just eighteen and he is wrapping up his debut film in telugu Lechipodhama. Movies didn’t happen to him by chance, eversince he was a child he wanted to become an actor and started to learn dancing. At the age of ten, he joined Swingers, and he’s been with Shiamak Davar for four years doing shows. But when he got the opportunity to work as his assistant, he dropped out as he had to do a course in Digital film Making.

The exuberant and sprightly debutant giggles as he tells, “please write good things about me, this is my first interview and please don’t ask me the story of the film. My director has given strict instructions not to reveal anything. Usually if someone asks I’m more than willing to narrate the entire story but this time I can’t.”

Parimal is actress Sangeeta’s brother and during the making of Na Oopiri, the actor met director Kanmani and that’s how things got moving. He says his parents are very supportive and gave him the option to choose between academics and films after his high school and he chose the latter without any regrets . The young man reveals that there are no professional discussions with his actress sister and she never counsels him either. All she is concerned about is his lazy habits and wants him to hit the gym and go to the sets on time.

The actor diligently explains, “The first three days I reported early and was on dot at 6.30 am but then I noticed that none of the members in the production team came on time and I was there twiddling my thumbs. So now I be there by seven.” He adds that he is in love with the role given to him and hopes that the telugu audience gets generous and accept him as an actor. Sandhya of Premiste fame is Parimal’s heroine and the actor says she is a fabulous co-star, she had called him and wished him before the film took off.

Is he composing his dances in the film? No, says the stubbled actor. He opines he is more comfortable and happy doing songs more than scenes. And he even felt shy, stumbled doing romantic scenes for the camera. Parimal is temporarily sporting a tattoo on his shoulder and it reads, SRK. He is a die-hard fan of Shahrukh Khan and talks nineteen to the dozen about him. Parimal means fragrance and he was named by Rajinikant.  He says, Dad and Rajinikant know each other for 30 years now. When I was born he came to the hospital and named me. He was apparently working in a film called Raghavendra and was donning the role of Mr Parimal Acharya.”

  1. Tattooing SRK on his shoulder is just extreme. Let’s hope he never regrets it later.
