The producers & directors care for them
The photos down below are of the kids who work and live in Film Nagar. The NGOs and Foundations are doing good work in diverting the children to school during 9 am to 5 pm. Kudos to the producers and directors for sending their maids and domestic help for a few hours to study. We need more people like them.A boy in the group wants to become a police officer like Venkatesh (he saw Gharshana clippings on TV) and save all girls from eve teasing.
There is another small girl who has never got into a bus. Her ambition is to become a conductor so that she can take a bus ride through out the day. One child Pocchamma (we have changed her name to Padma for school) is 10 years old, she cook, cleans her home and goes to a producer’s house to do work, after she is back she rushes to the school.
Most of the women drink alcohol and Padma’s mother is no exception. She beats her in the evenings if food is not kept ready. All the children watch TV in the neighbourhood home and when they joined school they could not understand an alphabet. Now atleast fifty percent are able to read the ‘flash’ scrolling on TV9 partially. Rest lack the motivation to study as they feel they cannot ‘learn’.

I don’t know who the “we” mentioned in this article is.. But why did you have to change her name from Pochamma to Padma. Evari kosam ?
Did the girl want to change her name ?
