When JP had no answer
Lok Satta Chief Jayaprakash to announce his party( he wanted 2 convert his NGO into a party) first held a meeting in Vijayawada. He invited the media like prajashakti, visalandhra, kamma intellectuals (Most of them were people who had properties worth 10 crores) and around 200 people to muster support. Each of these people were asked to speak and finally he spoke for around one hour 20 mts..Krishna Rao of Samata Party who joined politics, left his studies, job, went underground those days too attended the meeting, he had raised some valid points to which JP had no answer. He told the gathering that they need not launch a political party to start a movement, all those who were present at the meeting would have done their jobs if they paid their income taxes on time.
JP was a doc, he should answer why he opted for politics. What is his interest in suggesting CBN should be the CM and NTR the party prez. Assembly dissolve cheyyamani oka chetta suggestion icchina ghanta eeyanake takkutundhi. If you are interested in service, adopt a village and change it, or join an existing political party and if you are not able 2 identify with any intlo duppati kappukuni poduko. JP talks about democracy, why doesn’t he move and give another person a chance to take his place. He should be first ready to sacrifice as a politician, rajakeeyalu brastupattukupothunnayi ani tega upanyasalu iyyatam kaadhu. Assalu atla anataaniki neekenti hakku?
A politician should have an ideology, not a programme. What are his ideologies, do you have philospophy like gandhism, a mixed economy like the cong has or nationalism that bjp fights for or communism. There are regional parties too. The regional parties support federalism/ welfare state. There is another movement called the naxalite movt which has majorly youth involved. In 1971, 38000 people went to jail as naxalites. Do you have any credibility or credentials? What is the source of your money?

@..JP was a doc, he should answer why he opted for politics
But he was an IAS officer and a very good one as well.. I remeber as a 8 year old from Prakasam Dt, we used to idealise him as he used to be our collector. He used to be secretary to NTR when he is CM and a loyal one too. May be he does not want TDP to split at that time..
The thing is if one dones not answer all questions , it does not always mean there are no answers, they do not deserved to be answered sometimes..

Prathi paisa ki lekka vundhi ani JP cheppadu kadha ..You can contact them for source of money.
politics is about passions and not about development/progress.
Loksatta will not survive in this age. When people put their own self interest/economic progress, ahead of their caste/religion/Hero-worship then Loksatta can win. That takes another 50 years.

out of all the current lot - JP’s the best.
as you said JP could have joined another party to do service. But adi possible kaadu. He should either join cong or TDP or CPI/M, where he’ll not only be suppressed but will be humiliated in some way or the other. Siru anniya kuda join avvachu vere farty lo but edo podicheddam ani farty pettadu ga.
Well JP did say he has answer for each and every paisa he Lok satta spent. Everyone has their own good and bad. This guy can do more good than bad when compared to his counterparts.

Silly article. I am sorry, but I could not understand the intent of this article.
What is the question that JP did not answer? Is it “why he joined politics?” Any one who knows the current state of our country and its politics can give an answer to it.
About “adopt a village and do service ” - people who actually are aware of the ground realities will understand that, development in world’s largest democracy can only be done through clean politics. No other way for it. Above it if u develop a single village India will not become a developed country.
Lets not throw stones on to people who are doing something good for the country. Shed your biased feelings and wake up.

This is why I hate blogs. It made it super easy for anyone to spread the FUD with some completely meaningless title and even more meaningless content.
If your point is make JP not contest elections and run a social organization, you used way too much masala to make that point. Have you read LokSatta’s vision, mission and goals? Have you seen their manifesto? Discuss that content, if you are serious about this kind of stuff.
If you actually think Congress/BJP have ideologies, you need to get your head checked. Here is a news flash for you: Politics is not a party business, it is every responsible citizen’s business.
JP offers a rare alternative in politics and has an ability to bring real topics up for discussion rather than throwing stones all the time - he may never win a seat but he will have a very small chance of making a handful of people ‘think’ which we seems to have forgotten how to, largely thanks to our great media and wonderful self-promoted bloggers like you trying to make that extra 10Rs from AdSense!

TDP has been born in a situation when telugu pride was hurt by the centre, it’s also for a welfare state. It has been moved forward by CBN. If a new pol party cums the first thing it has 2 do is 2 put it’s ideology forward, not casting aspersions on the rest of the party’s.If he is talking of ending corruption, he shud show from where all he will get clean pple or accumulate pple who are not involved in corruption. He says every dist can become a state and village will be given more powers. Such words are very sweet 2 hear but he shud explain how he can get good people into politics. Everyone can find out problems of society but the main problem is how 2 solve them. Janata party was born during emergency, cong during anti colonial struggle, all came during struggle for federalism…wht I mean 2 say is party cums out of struggle not slogans. What sacrifice had his party done in providing relief 2 pple on issues, providing houses, better wages, elimination of child labour ? there shud be no ambiguity, we are merely asking him2 put forward his vision. Manadi secular socialist republic, mari veela party lo socialism undha? Education 2 all, how will he provide? Will it oppose pvt education? Next accounts choopistunnamu antunnaru…a pol party stands by its contribution by it’s members and by its acceptance. That is accountable 2 pple who donate it. Pol party is not a govt, it is a group of pple who have voluntarily joined2gether, they collect money and spend. There is no objection and compulsion 2 show accounts. Then religion, caste….do u oppose religion, do u oppose caste, show one party whose philosophy speaks against religion, caste? Manifestos are prepared in public debate, not in closed rooms.

To support Non-Sense you are giving lame reasons.. telugu pride, CBN taking it forward..
Whatever TDP does is ideal and just because lok Satta has no fixed ideology like religion as the basis or some other shit, you call them weak.
the only weakness they have is no charisma..partly due to people like you who go behind that crap..
All this is because lack of understanding and awareness in Andhra. Andhra is aregion in a state of hyper mania and go behind anything that is apealing for that moment.
rendu rupaila biyyam, free power, happy days cinema..alaa
The day people are made aware they’ll elect the right person
p.s. I thought you were a sane person. now, i think otherwise

Hi Sunita,
I completely disagree with you
“he had raised some valid points to which JP had no answer”
What kind of questions that JP sir don’t have an answer?
Can you Please mention it?
“JP was a doc, he should answer why he opted for politics”
JP’s sir answered this more than Thousand times.
“JP talks about democracy, why doesn’t he move and give another person a chance to take his place”
JP talks about democracy because he really know the value of democracy. There is no rule saying ‘one should only talk and one should not talk’ then that does not make any democracy.
“Assalu atla anataaniki neekenti hakku?”
Which party or party individual has a right to speak then.
“What are his ideologies, do you have philospophy like gandhism, a mixed economy like the cong has or nationalism that bjp fights for or communism”
Go the lok satta website read them.
After reading these blogs i feel like you are a great supporter of TDP because you are a chowdhary. Why do you
guys don’t support the good. Always go for the bad.
If something is going right then why do you want to criticize. If you want to support TDP then do it but don’t try to prove a good as a bad.

@Sunita
If you are talking about Idealogy, Loksatta is well placed above any party. Loksatta stands for corruption free, clean politics.
When TDP formed you said its “Telugu valla atma gauravam”. Is it idealogy or slogan? ok what ever. Whts TDP ideology now then? How about congress? Is it still anti-imperialism?
If you talk about agenda, Loksatta has clearly specified hundred’s of pages agenda. You can find it on loksatta site. None of other partys have such clearly stated agenda.
Regd problems JP not only does an excellent analysis of problems but also suggests the best fit feasible solution. Regd education for all - if you know well India spends 3.2% of GDP on education. Global standards say it shd be near 10%.Its very much feasible. When it comes to indepth understanding of problem or extensive analysis or suggesting a feasible solution there is no match to JP.
If you still feel u need clarifications regd stand of loksatta on socialism, capatalism, religion, etc visit loksatta.org and chk the agenda or blogs.

LOKSATTA’s DOUBLE STANDARDS
Recently, loksatta released its first list of candidates for 2009 elections. I was shocked to see a womanizer in the list from madanapalle constituency of chittoor dt. what the hell is happening in loksatta. Did they gave him ticket as a token of appreciation for party funding. Loksatta got a very loud mouth when it braces to criticize any political party - whether ruling congress, opposition TDP, new entrant prp or age old communist party. Now i doubt this, so called, new generation party. Is Mr.jayaprakash sleeping in Hyderabad. Guys i say this is another useless party as all other parties.
