Girijanula potta kodthunna prabhutvam : Erram Naidu

TDP leader Erram Naidu says the proposed bauxite mining in the agency area of Vishakapatanam would pollute rivers, destroy coffee plantations, put the environment in disarray and disturb the tribal life. Speaking to sunitablogs, Erram Naidu says,

AP lo adhe karyakramam jaruguthunnappudu athanu, YSR prekshaka paatra poshistunnaru. Ithara raastrallalo Cong vyatireka prabhutvaalu unnayi kabbati girijanulani recchagodthunnaru.”

He alleged that the proposal was meant to help close associates of the CM and it tantamounted to looting of Government property to benefit individual firms. The refineries was put up by Jindal group and Anrak of which AICC treasurer Pratap Reddy was a partner.

Naidu alleged that the mining was proposed without the consent of the gram panchayats.

Instead of displacing the tribals, basic health, education, water and sanitation facilities could have been given priority rather than bauxite mining.
