arrested for slanderous writing?

the editor of a tamil mag has been arrested for defamation….tamil stars andaru pani kattukuni spewed venom on him. they all feel that the industry will be defamed….and the argument is that prostitution takes place at all levels from ministers to labourers, then why target film stars. right from rajinikant to a lesser known tv artiste everyone were present. inthati unity is a rarity. :-) . if prostitution is consensual sex why raid brothels at all, no need 2 go to thailand. even when shoba rani cast aspersions on roja, all the women folk stood up for her.

    The united agitation of film stars gives an impression that thay want to hush up the issue by applying undue pressure on law enforcement authorities. Press should ensure that innocent people should not suffer while expoising the bad practices.

    The whole story started when actress Bhuvaneswari got arrested in a raid on brothel in adyar, chennai lastweek. I think the industry should not support prostitution whatever may be the case

    Mr.Rajnikanth was only there because quite a few names, including some close friends of his like the Vijaykumar couple, were mentioned. Where was he all these years when so many were slandered?

    Regardless, I find it ridiculous that those associated with films are persecuted and publicized. Why mention Thailand? Inland or in foreign lands, India is synonymous with its flesh trade.

    But like Krishna Vamsi, people are too hypocritical to except the wrongs in their society and become infuriated if others point it out. Instead of helping to eradicated(reduce) the problem.
