Its really sad situation. However few things to be considered.
he married twice. Did he divorce his first wife? What cause so much hatred toward his second wife family? May be he ill treated first wife family or they suffered lot or completed neglected them (Did he pay decent alimony?). I don’t think this guy saint either. he could have avoided all this if he settle everything with first wife family in a friendly manner.

Family has to be blamed for this sordid affair.Only three major things incite such an hatred to kill kids.Property disputes,ramifications in business liaisons,illicit affairs are the major acts which make opposite party compel to teach a lesson for them.They target the kids as any hurt to them make the parents go into shock and make them feel that their kids suffered for the sins they have committed for the rest of their life.However kids become scapegoats in these disputes which is horrible.Vaishnavi was killed by drowning her alive in boiler.She might have suffered the tremendous pain before encountering the face of death.
