Love Birds

What is love? I guess that is how they came up with the term ‘Love Birds’.

Here his mate is injured and the condition is appalling.

Here he brings her food and attend her with love and compassion.
Brings her food but shocked with her death and try to move her.
Stand beside her and scream saddened of her death.
Finally aware that she would not return to him and she has departed, stands beside her body, sad and sorrow.
Photos of two birds are said to have been taken in the Republic of Ukraine Where the bird is trying to save his mate. Millions of people cry after watching this picture in America and Europe. It is said that the photographer sold these picture for a nominal price to the most famous news paper in France. And all the copies of that news paper were sold out on the day of publishing these pictures.

Morning Show Muchatlu - Okanokkappudu

Okanokkapudu is shot in just 11 days and is touted as the telugu film industry’s first ever high-definition digital format film. The film opens with four young men whiling away time, also angry and frustrated that they could not get through the interview of the Public Service examination and in stupor wow to bump off a corrupt IAS officer who wronged them.  They are shocked to see the IAS officer step into their flat by mistake and waste no time in trying him up and make him go through an intellectual torture by flinging all kinds of academic questions at him.

Intermittently through small episodes the director throws light on the background of these four men, how their families are made to mortgage lives and property to see their only ambition fulfilled. The film begins on a boring note but very soon the director pulls the audience into an engaging screenplay. He has very clearly relied and focused on the story. The dialogues are incisive and the little known actors chip in convincing performance.

The director takes a dig at bureaucracy, about how government posts and examination seats are auctioned, how everything comes only for a price. Eventually a twist in the story is revealed  when the IAS officer is made to look like a mere foible when the moral shortcomings of the young men are exposed and that they are more corrupt than one can be possibly could have imagined. The film provides no solution but just succeeds in presenting the system as it is; It also ends abruptly hinting at helplessness of the victims.

The film is shot in one or two locations, cinematography is dull, it probably has something to do with uplinking. The background score however suits the mood of the film. Banerjee, Shakuntala and Subbaraya Sharma play minor and not so vital roles and Bliss Holloway from Hollywood handles the camera. Music is by IIya. The film has it’s shortcomings and one of them is poor publicity…

Morning Show Muchatlu - Ankit, Pallavi & Friends

In Happy Days, every romantic breakup was a catastrophe, every makeup was a triumph, every minute loss became a tragedy because that’s how the film looked through the lens of raw adolescent emotions. Here, Ankit,Pallavi and Friends appears to be a sequel of Happy Days, about a group of friends who pass out of college and are pursuing their dreams. Their relationship is explored as the film deepens, develops and burrows into their lives.

Nikhil from Happy Days plays the hero Ankit, who composes music and hopes to cut his album some day. He falls in love with Pallavi (Megha Burman) who has her priorities very clearly chalked out in life. The first one hour of the film introduces the characters and the film drags and one is kept waiting to know what the film is all about. It is only post interval you get to understand that the story is about clash of opinions and how the lead pair splits and how they unite towards the end.

There are lot of movies that are fun even if they aren’t fantastic films, director Hari Yelleti ‘s script is clichéd, juvenile and doesn’t progress over the storyline. The audience don’t react to the ups and downs of the characters as they are not well presented. It is a hyperactive role for Nikhil and the role doesn’t suit him. Megha Burman is a clear misfit and the only saving grace is Venu who evokes a few laughs. A couple of numbers are melodious, and technically there isn’t much to drive home about. Targeted at the youth, the film has much to be desired, and could be unpalatable for the regular movie ticket buyers who are wanting to see something fresh and interesting.

Morning Show Muchatlu - Ashta Chemma

Asta Chemma is genuinely a crazy, funny and an enjoyable film. It is probably the right launch pad for Swathi, the TV anchor who makes her debut as a solo heroine and also for Srinivasa Avasarala, a newcomer who steals the film single handedly. There are two more freshers Nani  and Bhargavi who are  completely at ease and shows enough promise. The director leaves the trio on their own to perform and they keep one engaged dishing out natural performances. There is more to the heap of fun. The writer comes up with a plethora of subtle and whacky one liners and despite the drama being loud and the music not so catchy, one can watch this film without a second thought.

Swati looks beautiful, no heavy make up and she could present herself a lot better if sheds a few more kilos. All she does is looking happy but her expressions come out effectively. Soul of the film, the cherubic  girl plays a copywriter  Lavanaya who is obsessed with matinee idol Mahesh Babu and has resolved to marry someone who bears the same name. With the actor’s name tattooed on her arm, she is a nightmare for her aunt who wants to see her married and her neighbour Anand (Srinivas) who is harassed by the constant, blaring music of Pokiri that sweeps into his home.

Anand befriends Ram Babu (Nani) who moves to the city with a new name Mahesh and becomes instrumental in initiating the Lavanya –Ram Babu love story. All hell breaks loose when the truth is out and the rest of the story is about how the ensemble cast convince Lavanya that there is nothing in a name. The writing  is crisp, dialogues are colloquial and natural. The narration is simple and adds something to the film that it makes it different and refreshing. Director Mohankrishna disappointed with Maya Bazaar but here he brings in a film that has merits to work big time.

Pride of Andhra

Source

The above picture is of Satish recieving the coveted prize from the Honourable President of India Smt Pratibha Patil. Satish is the director of the film Hope and it was adjudged the best film on social issues. We have to acknowledge that this son of Andhra had done his bit by playing a positive role in suicide prevention of students. He not only believed in his subject but threw up an import subject for discussion. This film had influenced me, made me more sensitive towards my kids. Many children go through emotional pain and anguish, it prevents them from rationally considering other solutions to their problems. Some of them have in particular difficulty adjusting to a new academic environment where the competition is more intense and the stakes are higher. While you may not be able to solve these problems for a friend or classmate, you may be able to help the person find someone who can help. And the first step in doing so is recognizing the warning signs that someone may be at risk of suicide. Hope is all about this.

Babu baata biddalu

I met MB at one of his son’s office  launch function maybe a year back and must say that he looked handsome and stood out amongst the crowd, I mean he was far better any day than his sons. Well, the same can be said about the current generation of actors, vaalani chooste aa hero koduka ani anipistundhi.  Well coming back to this piece of news, this happened ages ago. Brothers V and M attended a function hosted by Chiru, probably birthday of Charan. V dressed just like his dad and attended the do and asked Bunny, na dress chaala bagundi kadha? M went to Charan asked ‘na dress chandalanga undi kadha?” Paapam Charan struggled to come out with an answer and b4 he could M said, “naaku telusu kaani em chestaam,  ma babu esukoni ellamannadu esukocchanu.”  No wonder MB keeps saying na maatani na sons eppudu oppose cheyyaru.

Evaru takkuva kaadhu: intercaste weddings are mostly wrought with strife. Katti must have invited Chiru to seek blessings for the couple and show off Chiru’s support to them and Chiru being an emotional man must have uttered some moving words and gave them gifts which were blown out of proportion. But it is difficult to believe that Chiru attended the wedding without knowing the ‘background’, he surely must have been advised to bless as it will get him support from the k community. The party spokesman was struggling to tell the media that he went merely as a guest. Who will take the story? The parents were in anguish and once they knew everything was over and done they could have either resigned to their fate or met up with the family concerned. The opposition is trying desperately to politicise it…first the tirupati ground, the party name, now this…there will be more in the coming days, so all chiru has to do is rethink or change his think tank. His party representatives/spokesperson parakala and mitra look more like his family representatives..they lack the fire and neither are they assertive while presenting chiru or his party.

Adding & chopping

Homam poga ki thattukoleka janam suffocate avuthunnara? Maybe JD was smart enough to find out the reason and included the hot song of Jagapati and Mamta. He had kept everything stand by…some comedy. What if it doesn’t work? Some immature and lousy romance, next the song. Now everything is perfect and in place. But who has the patience to see the film all over again? but definitely it is better than a lot of his other films that JD made. As far as Mamata is concerned, i find her a lot sophisticated, may be it has got to do with her upbringing but pity the roles she chooses to work on. Her blink and miss role as a director in Kathanayakudu was unceremoniously chopped and the one who got away with it with a huge slice of publicity is Nayantara. Apparently there was no Nayantara in the original movie. the movie not only failed but left unhappy memories for jagapati, meena and mamata.

Paapam dutt, his ex hero deggara kelthe….appativaraku maatlade batch eeyana raagane topic maarcharanta.

Gufthagu

What transpired betewen MB and Chiru at the thenti vindu? Everyone knows they were closetted for some time and PR leader even showed his hand to AA teling him to keep away from the tete-a-tete. The buzz is that MB told PR leader that naa vaipu nundi nee party ki poorti sahakaram undhi. :) No he didn’t mean the tea party, MB is a light eater. He actually meant Praja Rajyam party. But which party will MB join? He’s been sending feelers to CBN that he wants to join TDP. Cong tho kottha banduthvam kalupuko pothunnaru and now this sahakaram. KS Rama Rao ni silly fellow ani hugging chesukovatam antha easy na…renewing relationship with Chiru? TDP is out of question….If Babu is smart he will take MB but he wont do that blunder. Already milching cows, driving autos have earned him black marks and MB talking about paritalas associates threatening him is all crap. There is no threat as such, paritala himself is gone and his son is now 17 years old and he is very likely not to take to faction fights so it will be cong ultimately

Peethalaku moota avasaram ledhu

Chiranjeeviki satruvulu evaru leru, it’s the caste that will do the party in one day if things go on this way. In Repalli alone there are four fans presidents, i.e four associations and there are constantly squabbling with one another. Aravind the praja rajyam pitamah has been time and again urging not to mention the word caste but of no avail. Ma vaadu vocchestunnadu, iragadeesthadu ani antunte, atla bayata padakoodadhu it will do more harm to PRP ani Aravind pleaded but it fell on deaf ears. The zilla fans presidents take immense pride in hailing from the kapu community and are deliriously thrilled about the following the party is getting in recent weeks, there is power struggle between each of these associations and are also supposedly upset with Aravind and have reportedly complained to PK and the latter said evarni kaathar cheyyanavasaram ledhu, annaiya’s word is the gospel.  Mari proxies sangathi enti?

Bitter Truth: PK has much larger following and people within PRP are aware of it. The more silent and aloof PK stays the more attention he draws. If PK would have come out at the tirupati meet, crowds would have gone berserk says a die hard fan.
